The Diemtigtal offers seclusion and nature in abundance. The right place to unwind.

On the plateau above the "Uelis Grimmi" alp there is a small high moor, which is surrounded by the imposing mountains of the rear Diemtig valley. For nature-loving people it is definitely a place of power to recharge their batteries. Especially in early summer, when the flowers begin to bloom, the prevailing alpine flora impresses with its changing blaze of colour. In particular, the alpine visitor is impressed by the violet and lilac colored fields of broad-leaved orchid. Also called finger root. From up here you have a magnificent view down into the Diemtig valley. In the background, the blunt mountain cone of the Stockhorn rises strikingly into the sky.

Always accompanied by the tinkling of cow bells, you doubt until the last meters before your destination that the Seeli with its fascinating turquoise-blue color will appear. The idyllic Meienfallseeli is so well hidden away from the popular routes in the Diemtigtal Nature Park. The sight of the mountain lake then exceeds all your expectations and impresses. How about a dip in the cool water on a hot day? Even if you have to walk the same way back for the hike to the Meienfallseeli as for the ascent, the panoramic views will surprise you and offer variety. On the way, some alpine residents will keep you company, because in summer not only the farming families but also their animals are at home here. You should therefore not shy away from encounters with cows and horses.

When the sun is right, there is a wonderful play of colors in the water

With its traditional scattered settlements, the Diemtig Valley offers a wide variety of well-kept and lively building culture. In recognition of this, the Swiss Heritage Society awarded the Diemtigen community the Henri Louis Wakker Prize in 1986. In addition, a beautiful mountain panorama awaits you on your hikes through the beautiful nature park.

The Blauseeli is an alpine lake in the Diemtig Valley. It is located on the Grimmialp and gets its name from the deep blue color of the clear water. The little lake is at an altitude of 1,220 meters. A circular route leads around the Blauseeli, you will also find several places to rest on the shore.
