Looks very nice in the photos. Unfortunately, the tree gate no longer exists in real life. You can still see the tree stumps there.

Stora Stenbrottet at Kinnekulle is one of the area's most popular attractions and is nicknamed the "mini Grand Canyon" by locals. It is a 40 meter deep former limestone quarry. The lower layers of limestone are 400 million years old and the tones of the stone layers and the beautiful setting have made the quarry one of Kinnekulle's most popular spots. In addition to the fantastic view and surroundings, there is also a small fishing lake in the middle of the quarry.

A nice destination for young and old. The waterfall is a short walk from the parking lot. However, the route can be extended at will.

In the artificially created cave there are benches and a small fountain that runs dry in summer. The perfect place for a break when it rains or during particularly hot days. Benches are also set up outside the cave.

Beautiful natural gate. Discovered on one of our geochaching tours. Enjoy nature!

Unfortunately, the waterfall had already dried up when we arrived. We met a local couple there who had never experienced this phenomenon for decades ... 😢🤔
