the old town, an absolute must

A lovely place to stop for a break. A view of the lake is guaranteed. Shade from the trees is available. It's a great place to strike up a conversation with the locals.

A very pretty, medieval town where we warmed ourselves up with coffee and nut pastries at the Hauser bakery on a foggy October day.

Estavayer-le-Lac is a true jewel on Lake Neuchâtel. The charming medieval town offers a unique mix of history and nature. Narrow streets, beautiful half-timbered houses and the imposing Chenaux Castle give Estavayer-le-Lac its special character.

Simply a great bike tour, but only if the visibility is very good. Aarberg is a wonderful place to linger.

The paved road is easy to manage as a hiking or cycling route, especially since there are no vertical meters to overcome. On the other hand, you should take the time to stop at the striking corner "Pointe du Grain". Be it to catch a breath, to eat or to take a bath...lounging is also possible. However, the place is very well attended when the weather is good. It is therefore advisable to use off-peak times! But then...yes, then it really is a wonderful corner to unwind, if you have the leisure. Incidentally, the route is only partially permitted for motor vehicles and appropriate parking facilities (including public ToiToi facility) are available.
