Suspension bridges are a modern trend - no, they existed before - and are an impressive structure.

The Turrian Bridge is one of the last remaining suspension bridges. Built in 1883, it still withstands the passage of pedestrians and cyclists. With every step, it challenges your sense of balance.

The Turrian Bridge is the oldest suspension bridge in French-speaking Switzerland. It was built in 1883 and crosses the Sarine. It is a historical and cultural monument which offers a dizzying view of the forest, the waterfall and the gorges. The bridge is accessible on foot from the village of Château-d'Oex, which is also a popular destination for hot air balloon flights. The bridge is part of a 6.2 km loop that takes you to the Ramaclé waterfall and the Gérignoz gorges.

Lake Lioson is also known as the “Pearl of the Alpine Lakes”. You will enjoy views of mountains, forests, rivers and wildflowers. The trail is moderately difficult, with an elevation gain of 1,443 feet. The best time to visit this trail is from May to October, when the weather is pleasant and the lake is clear. You can also stop at the Lac Lioson restaurant to eat or have a drink. This trail is a great way to discover the beauty and culture of the Vaud region.

Departure from the remainderant bas lioson car park, allow a 30/45 minute walk to the lake where the view is superb with a beautiful terrace. The tour of the lake is done in 20 minutes. You can continue to Pic Chaussy (around 1h30) the climb is quite steep but nothing insurmountable :) the view at the top is magnificent!!! The return takes less than 30 minutes.
