An old, disused railway line through beautiful countryside. The gradient is moderate up to Mesocco. From Mesocco, until the crossing of the national road, it's steeper, but paved. From there, route 642 has some steep ramps off-road, but is always rideable.

Fabulous route away from busy roads, ideal for all, S0.

This stretch in the woods is not passable on your mountain bike, and even with the portage it requires a lot of attention due to the presence of rather high steps. The stretch ends with a series of low steps descending after a narrow, curved staircase.

Uphill, in the middle, about 300m slightly tricky S1, otherwise everything flowy and wide forest paths S0.

A very nice descent through the forest (from Prepianto to Monti di San Carlo). Very good MTBiker drive down the whole route. On the other hand, it gets very exhausting. Arrived in the Monti di San Carlo there are many beautifully restored old Maiensäse to admire.

At the beginning it is mobile, but the places become increasingly difficult (S2-3). High rocky ledges or completely blocked. But it can be pushed easily. Afterwards it was easy to drive again.

Part of the MTB path 640, easy to drive without any further skill. Great views of the viaduct, waterfalls and tunnel trips included.
