Lake Gerzen is a lake located between the villages of Gerzensee, Mühledorf, and Kirchdorf in the canton of Bern, Switzerland. Its water level is at an average elevation of 603 meters above sea level. At normal water levels, the lake is approximately 8.5 meters deep on average and reaches a maximum of 11 meters deep, and has a surface area of 0.25 km², making it one of the medium-sized pre-Alpine lakes in Switzerland.

This hike takes you in a spiral up to a hill known as "Zur Luftstation". From up there you have a breathtaking panoramic view of Bern and the surrounding countryside. At the foot of the hill is also the grave of Paul Klee, which makes the place even more artistic and historical.

The Universal Postal Service monument, unveiled on October 4, 1909, is the work of the French sculptor René de Saint-Marceaux (1845 - 1915). It is made of granite and bronze and commemorates the founding of the organization in Bern. On the occasion of the 150th anniversary, a dedication was unveiled in front of the monument on October 9, 2024.
