Pass crossing from Flüeli to Marbach. Most of the path is paved. Only at the top there are still dirt roads for a short stretch.

Nice descent, sometimes difficult to drive and not for big risks, as it is on the ridge and sometimes goes down to 20m down the hole on both sides

Crossing the Hilfernpass is actually pretty easy. Until shortly before the pass, everything is asphalt. You only have to cross about 500 meters at the summit using a trail. But this does not have a lot of altitude and is therefore actually easy to ride. (Unless it's wet like us ...)

The Hilferenpass is rather unknown, but that doesn't matter. It is presumably because you cannot go there with motorized vehicles. With the bike, however, it is silent and enjoyable. At least as far as nature and the view are concerned. Since the approach is relatively steep, you will have to grit your teeth here and there. Above the pass is the Sammligen alpine hut, where there is a refrigerator (and a small box as a cash register) with drinks for self-service. It's a nice reward!

The Fritzenfluh connects Huttwil via Eriswil with Wasen in the Emmental in the canton of Bern. The road over the Fritzenfluh leads through a wonderful and typical landscape in the Emmental with wooded hill formations, meadows and stately farmhouses. The short tunnel at the top of the slope is only 200 m long, but lighting is recommended. The north driveway starts from several starting points, with the variant via Wyssachen being the least traveled.
