The Mummental pond is located between Aarwangen and Wynau. It used to be a beautiful large pond with an open water surface and reeds on the bank. Older people say that they went ice skating there each winter. Over the decades, the pond has almost silted up due to the sinking groundwater level. Today the area is a large reed field.
