Easy trail until end of plateau. Further hike requires experience. People get lost on the trail easily, especially when hill top is in the clouds.

Once you arrive at the beach, you will see a large rock formation containing a smaller sea cave.

It's an Off-Trail through rocky area. Be well equiped and have enough water with you.

The Tablelands are a unique backdrop to Gros Morne National Park.

The Gros Morne Trail is a substantial day hike to the Arctic-alpine plateau at the top of Gros Morne Mountain. Your reward is sensational views from the highest point in the national park, at 2,644 feet (806 m). Keep an eye out for the Arctic hares, rock ptarmigan and Arctic-alpine plants that inhabit the high ground.

If you keep walking after the viewpoint at the end of the official hike, the real Tablelands-experience begins. It's a 4-6 hour hike over boulders, gravel and rocks. Cold winds and piercing sun will accompany you as you climb ever higher into this surreal and weird landscape. The top feels like a different world. As a bonus you get a breathtaking view of the national park. Use GPS to find a safe way down and bring good shoes! This is by far the most rewarding hike in Gros Morne National Park!
