Very quiet place, very charming and the people are very polite

One of the gems of the Balaton Uplands is the small village of Vászoly. The Szent Jakab Forrás, visited by many, has healing powers, and this can be found from various sources on the internet. There is also a legend connected to it. Its water is continuous and drinkable. The small pond was formed by damming up its abundant water. It is surrounded by a small stage and a small grove. An idyllic location. The source of the Vászolyi-séd. It can be an excellent starting point for the hidden treasures of the area, as we can find the Kuti-Kerti Kisvendéglő in the immediate vicinity, which gives a traditional Balaton Uplands atmosphere, as does the entire Árpád-era village.

The largest spring cone on the Tihany Peninsula. It got its name from the yellow lichen that has settled on it. Great view of the inner part of the peninsula and the northern shore of Lake Balaton.

The lookout tower belonging to Alsóörs is located on the Csere Hill, 298 m high, its base is made of Red Sandstone, and was built in 1935. It is one of the most beautiful lookouts in the Balaton Uplands. A beautiful, 360° view opens up before our eyes. We can look at the nearest settlement: Balatonalmádi and the Paloznak Bay, but the Tihany Peninsula also seems very close. The place is also a popular resting place for tourists, as the friendliness of the Caretaker "Papa" is unparalleled, who offers hospitality to all tourists who talk to him. But we can also find a mini museum here, with panels. The place also functions as a forest rest bench, as well as a seal-making place, as the Seal of the Balaton Uplands Blue Tour Movement is also located here. The ascent is steeper from Alsóörs, and gentler from Balatpnalmádi. I warmly recommend this lookout point to everyone.

The lake got its name from the famous Transylvanian lake, due to the sight of tree stumps protruding from the water surface.

At the top of Kőris-hegy, you can find the lookout point on the National Blue Trail Line (also Stamp Place), a few meters from the parking lot, which is next to the radar station. Because of the radar, we don't have a panoramic view, but what we can see is beautiful: Vértes, the Kisalföld, the Balaton highlands, Somlóhegy are all looming in front of us. You can also go up by bike, either from the direction of Zirc or Bakonybél, on a relatively tolerable quality asphalt road. Let's be prepared that the asphalt road from Bakonybél to the summit is at least 10 km long, and even on foot it is about 6 km. Both tours have a strong difference in level, not by chance: we climb to the highest point of Bakony.

It was created by swelling, the way the tree trunks stick out of the water - that's what makes it special. It is surrounded by a picnic area and the Hubertlaki hunting lodge. The shortest way is to go up from the Huszárokelöpuszta junction, on the gravel road.

The radar station and the Vajda Péter lookout are only 50 m apart, but only 2 hiking trails lead to the lookout. The asphalt road ends in front of the radar station. The steps to the observation deck are very steep and slippery in rainy weather! The view is unparalleled: The Bakony, Vértes and Balaton highlands can also be seen. The northern half is the Little Plain. It's worth coming up!
