The chapel of the Evi gorges is brand new: rebuilt after a fire in 2000, it had already experienced many vicissitudes and transformations. A slatted roof and a wooden courtyard closed by crossed slats: the Evi chapel is dapper. A 19th century statue of the Virgin and an altar escaped the fire that destroyed the building one night in July 2000. Precious for the people of the region, it was rebuilt identically. The simple oratory intended to protect walkers at the narrowest and most dangerous passage in winter in the Marive gorges was transformed into a chapel in 1863. Its final appearance dates from 1947. It is said that, shortly after the construction of the chapel, miraculous healings were observed there. It becomes a popular place of pilgrimage.

I confirm, access to the trail is closed until ..... given the inventory, reopening does not seem to be a priority.
