The Bannalpsee is a popular excursion destination in central Switzerland and is located in the municipality of Wolfenschiessen in the canton of Nidwalden. The lake is located in a beautiful mountain landscape at an altitude of 1587 meters above sea level. The Bannalp reservoir is fed by the Bannalpbach and the Secklisbach, the latter of which flows out of the lake. The Bannalp power station is operated by the Nidwalden Cantonal Electricity Works (EWN).

For me the most beautiful city in Switzerland with lots of charm due to its location on the lake, the well-preserved wooden bridges, many sights, beautiful old town, cafes, shops, market ...

The ferry takes guests to the other side of the river as quickly as possible and offers a wonderful view of the entire landscape.

You can't get all the way around Lake Lucerne (unless you drive on the motorway...🧐). Since I wouldn't recommend this, the car ferry is a good option. For CHF 12 you can enjoy a 20-minute ride across the lake. Half-fare or GA tickets don't count, unfortunately, as it's in private hands. The ferry always runs...:40. Have fun on the crossing!
