This small beach owes its name to the stack that stands out in front of the gravel shore. It is the most sought-after spot for a dip, thanks to the wild charm of the landscape. During the day, the gaze is lost on the silhouette of Favignana, while at sunset the sky lights up in an unmissable spectacle.

The lighthouse is not accessible because it is in militarized territory

In October 2023 I was completely alone here. The sea is more beautiful on the southern side of the lighthouse than on the northern side.

Punta Sottile is the southwestern tip of the island of Favignana, which also has the same name as the southernmost tip of the island of Lampedusa. While cycling to get here you pass several small beaches, a bar-restaurant and various dirt trails. There is also a lighthouse, but it is inaccessible to tourists.

A pretty little beach not far from the port, Cala San Nicola is perfect for those who want to indulge in a little relaxation without being among the crowds of better known beaches.
