Stunning views of the Gressoney Valley

Pontboset is made up of many small villages scattered along the middle Champorcher valley. The village is crossed by the impetuous Ayasse torrent which, over the millennia, has dug deep and wild gorges, creating very suggestive views. The confluence with two other lateral streams, the Brenve and the Manda, made it necessary to build numerous bridges, which gave the locality its name and which distinguish its territory in a peculiar way.

Take a look at Châtillon and the incredible crevasse below you, as you arrive inside the Aosta Valley town.

Shortly after Fontainemore you can see the bridge on the right which can be reached in half a minute on foot. It dominates the river to a height of several tens of meters. Worth a stop!

It can be reached in about 20/30 minutes on foot from the car park near the Roman bridge. Follow the paved road keeping to the right, skirting an area with a car wash, body shop...at the bottom, an indicative signpost on the right for the bridge which you will find just under the motorway! The Palasinaz valley is surrounded by beautiful peaks that reach 3000 meters and is dotted with alpine lakes. On a grassy clearing above a rocky knoll is the Arp refuge which dominates the whole valley.
