Laupen, a picturesque town in the canton of Bern, is located at the confluence of the Sense and Saane rivers. Laupen Castle, which towers over the town where the Sense and Saane rivers meet, offers an impressive backdrop. This impressive medieval castle complex gives you a special insight into times gone by. The excellently preserved rooms, including the impressive Knight's Hall, invite you to visit, and the views from the west terrace and the east bastion can be enjoyed on a tour. Since 2012, the Laupen Castle Foundation has ensured that this historical jewel is preserved for visitors.

The ensemble of old half-timbered houses, cobblestones, village fountains and churches makes the old town of Laupen a real gem. It is one of the most beautiful in the region and should be part of every cycling tour in this area.
