From here, weather permitting, you'll have a superb panoramic view: Kelbra, Rothenburg, the Harz Mountains—all the way to the Brocken. There's also an explanatory panel and a rest area.
Visits to the tower are possible when the owners are present. Admission is free, but the owners would appreciate donations, as they have to finance all work on the tower themselves.
