Pantokrator Castle was built in 1807 by Ali Pasha and is located in the coastal settlement of the same name, two kilometers southwest of Preveza and 400 meters from the exit of the Preveza-Aktion underwater tunnel. Its original name was Oud-Kale (Outer Acropolis), while its current name is said to derive from the Pantokrator Church that stood there before its construction. Inside the castle, in the eastern part of the south wing, is a small church dedicated to Saint Anargyroi. The castle was later used by the Greek government as a prison for prisoners. Various events take place here during the summer months.

Very interesting complex with wonderful views of the landscape, there is no entrance fee and you can usually have peace and quiet here.

The ruins of the fortress rise high above Anthoussa and offer impressive views of the bay of Parga.

It's especially beautiful to explore in April and May, when it's not yet too hot, yet the sun is already shining warmly. The view from the citadel of the still snow-capped peaks of the Pindus Mountains is breathtaking. It's recommended to leave your car a little further away and walk towards the citadel and the old town, as parking is limited and the streets are narrow. Especially around Easter, it's busy, and the cafés and restaurants are full.
