From the Hasenmatt you have the best view in the Solothurn area. But the ascent over the north flank means "pushing". The downhill on the hiking trail to the east is quite blocked at first, but gets a little easier later on. Level S3, then S2.

The Hasenmatt-Nord Trail is the shorter uphill climb to the summit. Only the lower part of the mat can be moved; from the middle of the mat it is too steep and there are steps. So you have to push the bike up. The 100 vertical meters are done in about 15 minutes, but you need a lot of strength. There are very steep places and high heels. Anyone who has a light bike has an advantage. You should also have good shoes, the path is a mountain path. You will be rewarded with a great view at the top!

The ascent to the Hasenmatt leads mostly through the forest, directly along the north-facing river. In the upper section up to the summit, depending on weather conditions, somewhat exposed to wind.
