It is located on the section of track between Horstmar and Steinfurt-Burgsteinfurt (near the hamlet of Ostendorf) and bears witness to the time when trains on the Rheine–Coesfeld railway line still ran here.

🚴 The Deelberg Gorge is a special highlight on the Münsterland Cycle Route. It's located on the section between Horstmar and Laer (Steinfurt district). The passage is about one kilometer long. The high embankments on either side of the path create a cool, almost gorge-like microclimate that is particularly refreshing in summer.

🏰🌳 Holthausen, a district of the municipality of Laer, has preserved its historical character as a former knight's seat and offers a charming insight into the history of Münsterland.
