A great starting point for the Aare River Trail. The train station is right next to the castle, and there's also free parking. For example, you can take the red train from here to Solothurn and hike back along the Aare River – a beautiful route!

Historical bridge over the Aare.

Wangen an der Aare with the old wooden bridge is located on the river of the same name and is always worth a visit.

With the descent from Bannwil down, it can be easily integrated into the traffic. No bike path of its own and a lot of traffic. Beware of the bridge, it often jams. After the bridge, however, you can turn right again directly over the railway tracks onto the cycle path.
