More than 300 small blue spots on either side of the Loire River form the Étangs du Forez. Created in the 13th century for fish farming, most today are private and some are developed and allow visitors to practice fishing and raise awareness of the richness and biodiversity of the local environment.

Bezan is a pleasant little lake, lined with walking paths which invite you to discover its history. Among other things, a pitch oven is open to the public and allows you to better understand how pitch was used to polish ropes and laces, but also to caulk barrels, boats and houses.
