Under the title "France's Wild South," an episode of the British television series "National Parks – Protected Natural Wonders" on 3sat presents the Cévennes mountains. The accompanying text on the website states: "Lush green mountains, barren plateaus, and deep gorges characterize this landscape, which, unlike France's coasts, has not yet been discovered by mass tourism. It also boasts some of the country's most spectacular river landscapes." Warning: This cave is closed to the public! Previously, only cavers were allowed entry, but this has apparently changed with the new owner (to be confirmed). I was asked to delete my trip reports from this cave (as a caver), which I refused! (It wasn't even the owner, which is ridiculous).

A single track without any major technical difficulty, but dizzying! I took it uphill, and the shoulder made me sweat at times! Be careful, however, if there are a lot of hikers, the area could be unpleasant for everyone.

To enjoy the exceptional views of the Navacelles cirque, simply follow the paths leading to the three viewpoints: the Belvédère des Chênes, the Belvédère de la Doline and the Belvédère de la Cascade.
