실턴 시민 교구‬에서 가장 멋진 ‪5‬개의 호수

Stourhead의 팔라adian 다리는 1757년에 지어졌으며 정원에서 가장 유명한 건축물 중 하나입니다. 이탈리아 르네상스 건축가 Andrea Palladio의 스타일로 디자인되었습니다. 이 스타일의 특징은 조화로운 비율, 대칭적인 구조, 고전적인 기둥입니다. 이러한 다리는 18세기에 영국식 조경 정원의 인기 있는 디자인 요소였습니다.

스투어헤드 정원은 18세기 영국 풍경식 정원 중 가장 유명한 곳 중 하나이며, 제가 지금까지 본 정원 중 가장 아름다운 곳 중 하나입니다. 중심에는 크고 인공적인 호수가 있으며, 그 주위로 구불구불한 길, 사원, 다리, 동굴, 희귀한 나무들이 펼쳐져 있습니다. 이 정원은 길의 모든 굽이에서 새로운 그림 같은 풍경이 열리도록 설계되었습니다.

Amazing place. I was able to check out the shop and cafe, and have a peak at the garden, whetting my appetite to make it a day's destination some time.

Camped here for two nights. Owners were pleasant and welcoming and talked me through things. Toilets and showers were clean. Nice lake with Canada geese and Coots in residence. A beautiful and extensive estate.

very nicely laid out English garden with a lake, a distinctive bridge and some older buildings. When we visited, the rhododendrons were in full bloom - simply gorgeous.

This exceptionally grand estate sits atop the source of the River Stour and is part-owned by the National Trust. Built in the 1700s, the Grade I-listed mansion is just a small section of this sprawling estate. The village of Stourton is part of the Stourhead estate and includes a beautiful church, a pub and surrounding farmland. The gardens are perhaps the biggest draw and walking around the (artificially created) lakes is a lovely experience throughout the year. Designed to give the impression of a journey through parts of Greek mythology, you’ll find a Palladian bridge, a Pantheon and a Temple of Apollo. There’s no bad time of year to visit Stourhead and different plants and trees come into their own in different seasons. If you visit in spring, the snowdrops are outstanding.
