In summer the lake is dry, but there is a good chance of seeing wild horses at the nearby springs.

Isili is a small town located at an altitude of 500 meters above sea level, in the heart of the Sarcidiano area. The Museum of Copper and Fabric Art is absolutely worth visiting to learn more about the ancient traditions of the area.

Here you can see wild horses and lots of insects. We saw the horses at the lake, it was really magical 🤩

Once built on a high limestone heel, today partially submerged by the artificial reservoir of Is Borroccus, the church, of uncertain dating, dates back to at least 1500. From the SP128 it can be seen from a rest area which allows an undisturbed view, accompanied by a tourist sign.

Here is the Oromeu River. In the fall, everything is very dry. In the spring, however, the rivers are full of water. With luck, you might spot wild horses here.

Municipality born near the "Is Borrocus" lake. The church of San Sebastiano which stands in the middle of the artificial basin is very beautiful.

There are beautiful views of the landscape here. During our visit in October, there were no wild horses here. However, we did spot them in the park and watch them nibbling on the trees. In the spring, however, when the Pauli Maiori River was full of water, we encountered one of the wild horses. Wonderful!

Incredible view and if you are lucky enough to see wild horses, everything is right!
