When you're on the Hærvejen route near Nørre Snede, the Nørre Snede Shelter and Fire Pit is a great overnight visit that offers a simple, but authentic, place to rest and spend the night. You'll find a basic wooden shelter for protection from the elements and a fire pit where you can cook a warm meal or simply enjoy the crackling flames under the stars. It's a fantastic example of the many primitive camping options available to hikers in Denmark.

Here you can find shelter from the rain. There's a table for eating inside and outside. The entrance is hidden on the left side 😉

Tingdalen shelter place has two shelters and a primitive toilet. It is located in the middle of the woods and feels rather secluded. The shelters are neat, of good quality and spacious. I believe normally it belongs to the scouts of Skanderborg.

Next to the shelters there are places for campfires, barbecues, etc. You can't stand upright in the huts, but they seem perfect for slipping in and lying in. Closed to the west and open to the fire and mountain. Looks like someone really put a lot of thought and effort into it!

Overnight accommodation

The most beautiful of the three peaks on the small circular route. There are benches at the top and you have - at least in one direction - a nice view over the area. There are shelters for overnight stays right next to the summit.

A large shelter above (north-east-east) Skanderborg. It can accommodate a group of 9-12 people. There are 2 picnic tables and a campfire site. Unfortunately no water and no toilet. Due to the small pond, there can also be some mosquitos on site. The "first come principle" applies.
