Superb view of the meandering Gardon River below. The small adjoining cave provides shelter if needed, but access is a bit tricky.

Small, impenetrable cavity. Fenced all around. It must be used to catch the river. Not to be confused with the small cave 50 meters ahead, which is also impenetrable, but filled with graffiti and debris.

Access is only available during certain periods of the year, due to the conservation of the small inhabitants that inhabit the area. The cave is open from August 16th to November 14th, and from March 16th to April 30th. Bring a good flashlight, as the crossing can take approximately 5 to 10 minutes. This cave is nothing more than the former underground passage of the Gardon River. Accessible to all, be careful, however, once you have crossed, you will be close to the cliff on the other side. The path beyond (T2/T3) can be daunting for some people. Don't hesitate to turn back if you have any hesitation.

Be careful of particularly slippery surroundings on rainy days or after rain.

A 40m deep and 90m circumference sinkhole is an attraction in the Sauve area, for tourists and also for potholers. I was able to go down there several times. Be careful, there is no barrier! Watch where you put your feet, children and animals! At the bottom is a cave that is not very big, with two parts. First lower part, which overlooks a well, then where you have to crawl quite a bit to end up on "nothing". On the other side, you fall quite quickly above a LAKE, with a height of about 15m. The water from this LAKE flows into the Sauve resurgence, located at the bottom of the village, after the stone bridge, towards the children's park. This one spits with all its power during the rains.

A spectacular entrance! The interior is rich in concretion. The cave is blackened by the fires of yesteryear, and by different minerals. A few ropes, or you have to be equipped! I was able to climb as a caver, it's not bad, especially at the entrance on the right, which opens onto a balcony, at the top of the cavity! DO NOT VENTURE THERE WITHOUT EQUIPMENT, it's VERY DANGEROUS! A few beautiful gours in passing. Too bad this cavity is so busy, some have no respect for anything, which degrades the authentic appearance of this beautiful cavity.

To see at least once in your life, especially if you are in the area. More beautiful than the caves and chasms that I had the opportunity to visit. https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ab%C3%AEme_de_Bramabiau https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C3%89douard-Alfred_Martel

6월 26, 2024, Tunnel de la Perrotte (Roman Aqueduct)
Well-preserved example of the underground sections of the ancient Roman waterway. It was easy to ride (on a mountain bike). Beginners may need to dismount a few times. There was no need for lights in the tunnels. When I visited in the middle of the day, there was no one else there. There are places to sit in the shade for a break.

2월 8, 2024, Les Trois Arches des Gorges de la Cèze
a remarkable natural ensemble made up of three rock arches sculpted by erosion. Located in the Cèze gorges, these formations offer a picturesque spectacle and are often visited by hiking enthusiasts and geology enthusiasts. These arches are the result of millions of years of geological evolution, testifying to the power and beauty of nature.

To do during the beautiful off-season days. In summer, access is regulated according to the level of forest fire risk.

9월 21, 2023, La Baume Saint-Vérédème Cave and Chapel
Due to the very steep climb, once the cave is passed, over rocks with places where even steel handrails had to be placed, this walk cannot be classified as “easy for every walker”.
