Panagia Finikias 교회(그리스어: Παναγία Φοινικιά)는 메솔롱기 및 아이톨리코스 석호 한가운데에 있는 작고 목가적인 반도 또는 이전의 작은 섬에 위치해 있습니다. 돌로 지어진 단일 신도 석조 바실리카는 1804년에 건축되었으며 한때 작은 수도원으로 사용되었습니다. 사이프러스와 유칼립투스 나무로 둘러싸인 이 예배당은 역사적으로 메솔롱기 체류 중 유명한 영국 시인 Lord Byron이 선호했던 은신처였습니다. 그는 명상을 위해 그곳의 절대적인 고요함과 그림 같은 배경을 높이 평가했습니다. 이곳은 메솔롱기의 거대하고 평평한 염전 지역 바로 안에 있습니다. 바람이 없을 때는 건물이 잔잔한 수면에 장엄하게 비칩니다. 교회는 현재 좁은 사주/도로를 통해 도보나 자전거로 쉽게 접근할 수 있습니다.

There is a small spring adjacent to the chapel. It is surrounded by a wall that is perfect for protection from the wind, making it a very good bivouac spot. There is even a table with stone benches.

Phinikia is a small, picturesque island on the edge of the saltworks between Messolonghi and Aetolikon. On the island stands a small 18th-century church dedicated to the Virgin Mary. The island was a favorite stop of the Romantic poet Lord Byron during his stay in Messolonghi. Phinikia is a truly interesting place to admire the lagoon and the local saltworks. If you're lucky, you might even spot swans and flamingos, which come to the lagoon once a year. The sunset at the site is amazing. In summer, you'll likely see people taking medicinal baths in the warm waters of the salty lagoon.

We were guided to this road, which is white on the maps, via komoot. Google Street View is not available. It consists of field and gravel paths. Some parts are rocky and coarse gravel (see photo). Not really suitable for road bikes, but gravel-friendly in parts.

100% true..... wonderful route with great views and very little traffic. It's a great way to cycle.
