Camping is permitted in this part of the national park. Read about the rules of visiting on the official website. The place itself is probably okay - a wide beach, pine trees. But there are a lot of vacationers even during the week. Didn't like it.

St. George's Monastery, the largest of the Novgorod monasteries. According to legend, the monastery at the source of the Volkhov from Lake Ilmen was founded by Prince Yaroslav the Wise (in holy baptism George) in 1030. He also built a wooden church in the name of the Great Martyr George. The monastery occupied a special place among the Novgorod monasteries and was called a monastery.
