Well-equipped refuge above Wachendorf. Bench, table, trash can and the obligatory sign about proper behavior in nature - everything is there.

The former Deichkind restaurant closed at the end of 2022. Since February 2023, the new restaurant "Hamdans" has occupied the same location. It is under new management and offers fresh oriental cuisine with European influences – mostly organic. The cozy terrace overlooking the Weser River remains a highlight, inviting cyclists and walkers to relax or take a short break. The food is delicious and highly recommended. A worthwhile stop for anyone who wants to combine enjoyment with nature.
