Tetenhusen Hay Hostel: Sleep in the hay on a working farm: 30 beds, farm café with breakfast, half-board, and full-board options available upon request. Canoe launching is available at the nearby jetty. However, we didn't see any activity there in August 2025.

A 100 m long path leads to the bird hut in the ship. The large station has three spacious observation windows and several seating areas.

Here you can take a longer break and even have a barbecue. The hut including table and benches offers protection against wind and weather. If necessary, diehards could also spend the night there on a bike packing tour.

a very well-kept place with a covered break opportunity. The unusual construction, which consists of four huge wooden poles on which a grass-covered roof rests, is modeled on a former harvest storage facility. This construction was called "Four Rod Mountains". The roof was movable in the original. Mayor Volker Lorenzen told me that if you want to spend the night here, you should first obtain the consent of the municipality of Dörpling.

Nice little kiosk with fair prices and a view of the Eider. Especially recommended with the beach chairs as it is a bit windy
