The Mount of Olives Chapel stands on the Mount of Olives and is a registered summit at an altitude of 334 m.

After completion of the tunnel construction for the new western railway line, the Siberg Cross was inaugurated in 2001 by Dean Johann Zarl (St.Valentin) in the presence of Rev. Karl Schlögelhofer (Haag) and a large number of construction workers and residents. This cross is a construction made of iron rods, which was also used in the tunnel construction.

The descent from the lookout is very steep and rocky in places

ST. FLORIAN. Perched high above the abbey, the 18th-century Mount of Olives Chapel has long been neglected. Thanks to the initiative of the St. Florian Beautification Society, it now shines in renewed splendor after a complete renovation. A walkway with steps and seating offers a place to linger and enjoy the expansive views of the Alpine foothills. A wonderful spot to soak up the sun and enjoy the view. 😍

The watchtower is located at the summit of the Damberg above Steyr. A corresponding cycle route is signposted from the GH Schober. The ascent via the Laurenzi chapel is only recommended for mountain bikes or gravel bikes.

The Dambergwarte is a fixed point of every hike on the Damberg. More panorama is not possible. 360 degrees - guaranteed!
