Very nice cave, beautiful to look at. We were lucky that it was also very humid, just as you would expect in a cave like this.

Beautiful ascent via the adventure trail from the Schindlhütte

The Dry Hole is a large cave, located right next to the Wet Hole, and is perfect for exploring. Be sure to bring a flashlight or headlamp.

Definitely worth visiting. Can be visited without a guide. There aren't any forks in the cave, but don't forget your flashlight!

The Hohlenstein cave is located on the Mariazeller Bürgeralpe and can be reached via marked hiking trails in around 20 minutes from the mountain station of the cable car to the Bürgeralpe. In 1934 the cave was expanded into a show cave. In summer there are guided tours on Saturdays. The lower part of the cave can, however, also be viewed this way and this is also worth seeing without a guide and that you can go further into it.

The “Innerebengrotte” natural monument is on the right before the entrance to the gorge. It is a grotto with a width of approx. 12 m, a depth of approx. 8 m and a height of 8 m. A water-bearing spring rises all year round at a height of approx. The water falls to the bottom of the grotto in free fall.
