Just a few steps from the town's houses, the path along the Reutebach stream begins. You're instantly immersed in another world. In summer, it's pleasantly cool here.

A nice, quiet place with seating by the pond, which is actually called Krottenweiher. In 2004, a sedimentation basin was built in the rear part of the pond to collect suspended solids. The Reutebach has created a small gorge here. From here the path leads along the stream through this gorge into Zähringen.

One of the small but poisonously steep climbs up the Tuni "berg" - which has surprisingly steep sides despite its low height.

It's really nice, along the stream.

If you drive out of Merdingen, this path branches off in the middle of the ascent, then goes up briefly, at the top you have a wonderful view of Freiburg.
