A fantastic hiking trail leads along here, amidst beautiful nature 💚 highly recommended. The bridge is very sturdy and leads to the glass caves, which are stunning and definitely worth a visit 👍🏻. I wonder what kind of hard work it must have been to create these tunnels and then extract sand to produce glass. Unfortunately, it didn't bring the Spanish the desired success, so the project was abandoned. The poor local population then used the caves as shelter. Unthinkable in this day and age.

Small mountain village in the heart of the Anaga Mountains. Here you can actually find houses carved into the rock, but also fabulous views and panoramic views as well as a rustic Canarian restaurant. A must visit. We hiked there from Las.Carboneras and were thrilled by the tour and the views.

The Punta de Teno is almost a real insider tip among the Tenerife sights! This spectacular cliff is an absolute must for anyone who loves nature and breathtaking landscapes. Punta de Teno is a headland at the northwesternmost point of the island, and the jagged rocks are made of the lava rock typical of the Canary Islands.

The fifth largest volcanic tube in the world and the largest in Europe. Guided tour only: https://cuevadelviento.net/en/ruta-en-aleman-viaje-al-interior-de-la-tierra/ The Cueva del Viento volcanic tube is located in the eponymous district of Icod de los Vinos. It was formed 27,000 years ago from basalt lava from the first eruption phase of the Pico Viejo volcano, next to Mount Teide. The Spanish name of the volcano tube comes from the remarkable air currents inside. With its considerable length (18 kilometers have been recorded topographically so far), the Cueva del Viento is in fifth place in the world, right after the first four longest tubes, all of which are located on the largest Hawaiian island (USA). The volcano tube consists of a huge, network-like labyrinth of underground passages. Numerous branches remain unexplored and indicate a considerable expansion of the cave complex.

Stable wooden bridge that leads over the Barranco de Toledo and offers great views of the caves (Cuevas de Vidrio) and the Barranco itself.

In any case, these small caves round off the hike. These are not residential caves, but actually “tunnels”. White sand was mined here and was used to produce glass.

For us it's one of the best restaurants, even if it doesn't seem that way. Important: be sure to order from the board, not the menu. Best fish, calamari and goat dishes.
