Location: in the municipality of Pereiro de Aguiar (Ourense), on the Loña River, a tributary of the Miño. Uses: water supply, irrigation, hydroelectric power generation, fishing; it is not navigable or suitable for swimming. Circular walk: approximately 4 km (3.7 km to be exact), easy difficulty, ideal for families and dogs—although they must be kept on a leash—offering shade, rest areas, and beautiful views.

A steep track and in poor condition, but reaching the reservoir is worth it.

The Barbantes Thermal Park, in Cenlle, Ourense, has a thermal water pool that occupies about 200 square meters. The water temperature is constant, around 28-29ºC, ideal for a relaxing bath. Its water is rich in minerals and known for its therapeutic properties. The park has green areas and rest areas, making it a popular place for thermal tourism. It stands out for being on the Ribeiro Wine Route, an area famous for its vineyards and wineries, combining wellness and wine tourism.

Bordering the entire reservoir there is a dirt road ideal for mtb and walking

From the reservoir we leave it, we cross the road and go to Monte da Steela and there we look for the route two muiños do río Ionia mountain bike btt. Nice route and not demanding

Natural park and path along the river Miño between the town of Laias and the Barbantes hot springs. Cool off by swimming in the cool waters of the river on your adventure. In season, there is a beach bar to buy some food.

The Miño river is tamed by two hydroelectric dams between Ribadavia and Cortogada creating the Filgueira dam where the river water slows down. Crossing the OU-801 by the new bridge you can see the old abandoned Filgueira Bridge.
