The Borbollón Reservoir dam is located on the Árrago River, within the municipality of Santibáñez el Alto (Cáceres), forming part of the Tagus River Basin. The Borbollón Reservoir is a protected area within the Natura 2000 network, designated as a Special Protection Area (SPA) "Borbollón Reservoir." The surrounding area features holm oak and cork oak woodlands, a key habitat for Mediterranean fauna.

Natural pools on the side of the road for a quick dip. There is also a small park with a picnic area across the road.

An incredible gravel road to the Mirador del Boquerón bordering the Laguna de los Jornus from the town of Cachorrilla.

Stroll through the outdoor recreational area Piscina Natural La Alameda in the town of Moraleja. Rest in the shade of the trees after your adventure.

On the shores of the Gata Reservoir you reach this incredible natural pool full of rejuvenating minerals.

Charming place. First for the environment and then for the facilities. Natural pools with cool water on the hottest days of the Extremaduran summer. Sunny and shady areas!

Unfortunately the lake had very little water when I arrived. Still a good place to stay
