This bird hide from Limburgs Landschap vzw on the edge of the De Zig nature reserve is not very large and offers a view of a limited pond, but I found it quite well located and pleasant despite its relative simplicity. The fact that a swallow has a nest in it and that some birds came to sit on the edges of the viewing openings while I was eating a sandwich may have played a role :) Even without binoculars I could see quite a lot of water birds.

Nice bird watching hut with good facilities. In addition to information about nature in the surrounding area, there are also tips for hiking and cycling (with a map) to take with you. There is also a thick non-fiction book "Heel de Peel" - Het boek over de Peel.

Plotted a route of 19 km in this area 14 days ago. It must be beautiful. However, walked around it in 23 km because it is bird breeding area until July 15. Not for nothing, because the first crane was born there, but still quite bummed if you keep bumping into the signs. So keep this limitation in mind!
