Here you'll find numerous information panels about flora, fauna, and wildlife. This chapel is located directly on an easily accessible circular route through Lathen and Kapellenmoor. The hiking trail is directly adjacent. The observation tower offers a beautiful view of the landscape and the adjacent tree nurseries. Everything you see is in immaculate condition.

This information and rest hut is worth a visit. Sponsored by Volksbank Emstal, it was lovingly restored by members of the Historical Agriculture Working Group, spending over 1,000 hours on it. It is to be hoped that this condition will continue for a long time to come. Numerous informational displays about flora, fauna, and wildlife are inviting not only for adults but also for children. Right next door is a viewing tower overlooking the Kapellenmoor.

A lovely place to take a break with a view of the canal. The fact that the hut is closed on three sides means it is a good place to protect yourself from wind and rain.

The Bargerveen are a beautiful nature reserve. A former peat region, but now nature can recover. Many different species of birds and also snakes (e.g. adders) can be observed there. And there are wonderfully developed hiking/cycling trails through the heath/peat landscape. HIGHLY recommended!

An inviting place to rest at junction 34 directly on the Coevorden-Picardie Canal. A well-maintained shelter with several seating options also offers enough space for groups. The surrounding area with its insect hotel, art exhibition and bridge over the canal also invites you to linger.
