Oriola River Beach, opened in August 2025. It is located in the heart of the Albergaria dos Fusos Dam and offers services including a bar/restaurant, restrooms, and parking for motorhomes.

Inside Joana Park, in Viana do Alentejo, there is a beautiful and useful pond that used to flow through a stone channel, from a higher point in the park, and from an old wine jar. This pond provides shelter for dozens of frogs and water for many birds that can be seen in the park. We can also observe many bees and other insects there satisfying their water needs.👍

A land of age-old vineyards and ancient knowledge and skills, with immense landscapes and a town that is white by name (“alva” in Portuguese means “white”) and white by nature, the whitewashed houses gently tumbling down the hillside. The fields around Vila Alva are not solely devoted to vineyards. Oak groves, olive orchards and cereal fields that turn golden in summer are also features of the landscape. And there is also a vast expanse of water, the beautiful reservoir of Albergaria dos Fusos stretching for as far as the eye can see, its mirror-like surface contrasting with the hills that form its horizon.

The fields around Vila Alva are not just vineyards. The landscape is dominated by montado, olive groves and fields of golden wheat when summer arrives. And also an immense sea, beautiful as far as the eye can see in the Albergaria dos Fusos reservoir, where the water contrasts with the mountains that form the horizon.

The river beach is located at the Albergaria dos Fusos Dam, about 5 minutes from the village of Albergaria dos Fusos, in the parish of Vila Ruiva, in the municipality of Cuba in the district of Beja in the heart of Alentejo.
