Kuovinkallio, near the village of Ahvio in Kouvola, is a scenic rest stop ideal for both paddlers and hikers. The rocky outcrop offers impressive views over the Ahvio rapids on the Kymijoki River, especially rewarding after a climb on foot or by mountain bike. It’s the last landing spot before the river splits, making it a key point for canoers navigating the area. The site is equipped with a shelter, campfire spot, pier, and basic facilities, and overnight stays are possible. Cyclists should note that access is via riverside trails, best suited for trekking or mountain bikes.

This shelter, called "laavu" in Finnish, is located at a slightly elevated position above Lake Kukuljärvi. The wooden hut is open to the lake and has a covered fireplace. A wonderful place for a rest!

The Moronvuori Day-Use Hut is located along the Moronvuori Hill Trail in Valkmusa National Park. The hut is available for daytime use as a resting spot. Inside, you will find a wood-burning stove and a supply of dry firewood. Additionally, there is a fire pit in front of the hut.

Well-developed place to stay overnight. There is also plenty of dry firewood and a log splitter.

Great place for a short break. There is a well there too.

A really fantastic place with a nearby hut and sanitary facilities. Really absolutely recommended. Also for little hikers a great destination
