Nice place by the water

Sääksmäen Lake, located in the region of Häme in southern Finland, is known for its picturesque scenery and tranquil waters. The lake is part of a larger network of waterways in the area, offering stunning views of nature and a peaceful atmosphere.

Here is also a small "dressing room" where you can change your swim suit.

Here you can sleep, rest or grill. Anything you want and you have a nice view too with lakes on both sides.

Beautiful route over the bridge across the lake. There's a coffee stop on the island.

Nice bridge to one of the numerous ridges. For a longer tour turn left after the bridge when doing the route clockwise and visit some of the other nearby lakes.

Lots of little ridges on this route that lead out further into the water. Perfect for lunch or a quick dip.

This is a good starting point for Poronpolku "Reindeer trail". This is kind of middle of the 55 km route. You can bike light and leave lunch gear and food at your car. There is a fire place and long drop toilet. There is also a clear water lake where you fresh up after the whole journey. The main trail network is mostly south and around this area.
