Karhunahas is a hidden natural gem near Petäjävesi, where a short trail leads through ancient forest to a hut perched above a striking gorge lake. With mossy boardwalks and cliffside views it's a perfect mini-adventure for in the Finnish wilderness. If you want to continue down the trail, you will have to hop off your bike and continue on foot.

Here you pedal between sparkling lakes and dense forests that line the road, bordered on one side by rugged cliffs. Enjoy the amazing view!

This is a cozy wooden lean-to shelter nestled in a dense forest, with a fire pit and log benches inviting you to rest for a break during the ride or even spend the night in the wild.

Here you can rest and enjoy a snack while breathing nature in the forest.

Hitonhauta is the largest gorge in central Finland. You can find impressive cliffs, a waterfall, a small pond and some caves here. According to legend, this is the tomb of an evil spirit named Hitto, who lived here. Apparently, his petrified face can be seen on the rock face in the gorge.

The path runs along the top of the rocks of this spectacular gorge lake and repeatedly offers fantastic views of the dark water.

Three narrow, very dark shimmering lakes along the road, bordered on one side by rugged rock walls. Very impressive!

Helvetinkolu ("Hell's Gap") cleft is the biggest attraction of the so-called Hell's Lake National Park which has numerous deep gorges and rugged scenery formed by faults running through the bedrock. There is also a small shelter at the shore of Helvetinjärvi.
