In winter, the lake is fantastic for ice skating; when there's enough ice, a 14-kilometer circular track is cleared to create an ice rink. Skates are available for rent on-site on weekends.

Along the lake you will find an easy lakeside path with frequent water views, small beaches and short forest sections. The shore promenade is well maintained and ideal for relaxed walks or runs, while the rise toward Bunkebergsåsen adds a slightly higher vantage point. A calm, scenic stretch with regular access points and benches.

Översjön is a wonderfully peaceful lake, surrounded by calm forest trails and soft birdsong. It’s one of those places where time slows down a bit. Great for a gentle walk, a quiet moment by the water, or just soaking in the classic Swedish nature vibes. If you enjoy serene spots away from the crowds, this one’s a little gem.

Nice beach, but keep in mind there is no kiosk or similar so bring you own drink and food.

The bird watching house is easily accessible via a beautiful footbridge. Very nicely done with information boards, although only in Swedish. Don't forget your binoculars!
