Nice starting point and/or destination for various hikes. There are some parking spaces nearby, both for cars and camper vans.

Take the entire walk along both the upper and lower parts of the waterfall. It is a reasonably short hike, but a great workout

This watermill on Verkeån with its highest waterfall in Skånes is a very old mill town. The first mill system was built in the Middle Ages. The mill was first mentioned in writing around 1491. There used to be three mills in different places along the river. A loden pounder was also used here earlier. From the end of 1800 to the beginning of 1900, trade was carried out on a large scale in Hallamölla, and a wholesale company was successfully established here. The watermill has three grinders and a peeling device for barley barley. A shotgun device has been in operation recently. The mill was in operation until 1948.

Verkeåns Nature Reserve is one of the largest nature reserves in southern Sweden. In the middle of the reserve is Hallamölla waterfall, the highest waterfall in Skåne province. The long distance hiking trails Skåneleden and Backaleden invite you to explore the area. There is also a wind shelter in the middle of the area if you want to stay longer.

The mill and waterfall are on Skåneleden and can be easily reached on foot from Akunbruket or Brösarp. From the west, this is a wonderful hike through the forest and along the Verkefluss. The mill is very well preserved. The whole surrounding area invites you to linger. Picnic areas are available.
