I had the pleasure of staying in one of the old red houses. You can reserve a bed in a dormitory or, like me, rent a room with a private bathroom. The houses, as well as the entire farmstead, date back to around 1400. A beautiful hiking trail leads through the nature reserve from the property. It is also located between two lakes with swimming opportunities.

The start at the hut is along the stream with a wonderful path and many motifs

Another note. If you have a tent and the time. I would go to Grytered resting spot instead. It’s only 1km away. And EVERYTHING is better at that spot.

A shelter that is in a very poor state. It’s just a shelter with a fireplace. Roof is leaking, the view over the lake can’t be seen from the shelter.

Great shelter with good access to water. A fireplace with a grit, toilet and a garbage bin.

Great shelter. Fireplace, trash cans and a dry toilet. Really great view from the shelter over södra kroksjön.
