The nature reserve is where the village of Bröda once stood, and is made up of an ancient beech forest and open pastures. The pastures and woods lead towards Lake Simlången. It's a wonderful place for hiking and admiring the rich biodiversity.

I planned to stay there over night. Unfortunately, the place war completely occupied by a group of drinking, shouting men from Germany. It was a group of about ten men. I preferred to go on… Ps. I heard from somebody else, that those ten men were planning to stay there a week!

Älmhult kulturstigen is a reasonably short walk, doable with children too. There are many signs with interesting information about the area in the recent past. Bring bathing suits and combine this walk with a dip in this lake.
