If you arrive here by bike, I highly recommend taking the short ride north to the so-called Trollberget, the heart of the national park. Otherwise, you'll find shelter here in bad weather, or plenty of seating areas including fire pits when the weather is nice. Those interested in the national park and its history will find numerous information boards with all sorts of information.

Not as crowded as you might think in the off-season. I've been here both on a gravel bike and as a hiker. I was always alone. The toilet block has been slightly expanded and now houses a small waste separation facility.

A very nice barbecue area right on the beach. Much more recommendable than the barbecue area further south at the observation deck because it's less crowded.

Plenty of seating for relaxing, fire pits and a jetty by the lake. A highly recommended place.

Beautiful hiking area with hiking trails of various lengths. Marking perfect. Picnic and fire pits invite you to linger. I took the red and white one and it was about 5.6 km with nice trails.

Modern Shelter, but probably other hikers or bikers in groups are already there.
