Rammsjön is a quiet and scenic lake surrounded by forest, offering a peaceful spot along the route. It’s a great place to take a break and enjoy the stillness.

A beautiful beach with a long jetty, restrooms, and places to relax. We also did a short 1 km loop. Ample parking is also available.

Bolmen is the largest lake in the western part of Småland in Sweden. It is located about 80 kilometers south of Jönköping. The name Bolmen comes from Old Swedish (Swedish Fornsvenska) and is dated to 1689. At that time it was called “Bollmen Lacus”, which means “Big Lake” (Swedish: Storsjön). This small, dark lake lies at a fork in the road. It is surrounded by a meadow on which some large blocks of stone lie and offer seating.

Beautiful place to rest. Watch out when resting though. We noticed the ants on one stone only after they were crawling all over our son… 😬

the boardwalk is unfortunately closed in the meantime. The highlight is certainly the Café Bodils Veranda Café in Lidhult with a very nice terrace.
