This is an unprecedented view. Where you mainly walk gratefully in the shade of the trees, you can look out here freely. You can also spend the night here, when I walked here in the early morning a hiker who had spent the night just left.

A crossroads with a shelter and a small parking lot. Also located here is the Schubert Stone, one of many memorial stones commemorating the military conflicts that took place here in 1914 and the soldiers who died as a result.

Near the cabin is a boundary marker of the estates of the Lordship of Salm. The original boundary marker is located at Schirmeck Castle.

Nice loop without any real difficulty. Must be very nice for trail running 🏃🏽‍♂️

The Haute Loge lives up to its name, the best view of the Vosges or the Rhine plain to the Black Forest. You can't gravel to the summit, but the little pushing section is really not that bad, you have to sweat more on the Donon 😉🚴
