Very beautiful place.

Not a huge crowd puller, but it is there and historical. Ultimately, the overview board showing what this fortress originally looked like helped me to understand the gardens. You can't see much of the garden itself. But there is the monastery garden at the foot of the fortress, which you can also visit. It is more interesting from a botanical point of view. My guest house had a view of the fortress and the gardens illuminated in the evening. It is a really beautiful motif.

Provençal type castle but be careful, private site, and cannot be visited. With a beautiful garden

Nice little castle, looked rather private. Other than that, not much going on in the town. Unfortunately, the bar was closed on Mondays.

Near Lake Esparron, a superb castle stands in the town of the same name. You can see pretty landscapes of the lower Verdon gorges.

Esparron owes its attractiveness to the creation of Lake Esparron de Verdon in 1967. Indeed this artificial reservoir has become over time an important center of summer tourism, frequented for water sports and fishing. The village also has a rich cultural heritage including an old castle tower dating from the 11th century, an old distillery and numerous chapels, as well as two churches.
